Holy shit.ġ) That's pure speculation on your part. One made it through, imagine all the others that didn't. It's like you think that this is the one and only time someone tried to put a fake listing on Steam. Not knowing that it was a scam and that they had to go to the website Obviously with Tarkov, doing research outside the game is gonna be important so you would hope that if somebody was going to buy it, they would have done the research to know if they want to play it, and then would have found that information, but the reality is that that isn't how every single person works, so it's not unbelievable to think somebody could have done no research, saw a YouTube short or something on tarkov, said that looks cool, went to steam because of the hash tag escapefromtarkov, and then found the steam game and bought it. Not everybody is so ingrained into games that they know everything about a game and it's devs before they buy it. Hell, I've done that plenty of times before myself and I'm the person that does copious amounts of research before any purchase. There is a large group of people that will scroll through steam and find a game they think looks cool and buy it without any knowledge of anything else. Ik you say this like it's psycho for somebody to have that little knowledge but most people don't do insane amounts of research about video games. Now with Greenlight being gone we're seeing the same shit they were doing here with shitty porn "puzzle" games and other no effort shit with images probably stolen from some Booru site. Berdyev was the same buying prebuilt game engines and assets and just throwing them on steam and then selling game keys in huge bulks for pennies on VK. Digital Homicide at the time of them being kicked off Steam had nearly 50 galaga clones with different skins on them like Sarah To the Rescue 1-10 or some horror version 1-10, etc. If it wasn't for Steam Green Light we'd have seen literally hundreds of titles from them alone. Hell just look at Digital Homicide or Ata Berdyev. Sure, Greenlight wasn't flawless but it served as some form of quality control and helped mitigate deluge of shit we're dealing with now. Yeah with the removal of Steam Green Light all we have in the way of quality control is Valve's $100 fee.
